Dr Siobhan Fitzpatrick

A HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, who is experienced in supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges and life stages. She is skilled in working with a variety of mental health difficulties.

Life can throw unexpected challenges our way, leaving us feeling lost, misunderstood or juggling difficult emotions. I offer support to individuals who are navigating periods of adjustment or stress, whether it’s adapting to new family dynamics, life transitions, work or education stressors, or coping with the demands of health challenges. My work also involves providing compassionate support to those experiencing grief, honouring the process of loss whether it’s related to a loved one, a relationship, or a sense of self. I am also deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced a traumatic event, helping them to reclaim a sense of safety and agency, I have particular experience working with people who have experienced trauma in the perinatal period or who have experienced a life-altering injury.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in being both personalised and integrative, ensuring that our work together is tailored to your specific needs, experiences, and goals. I believe that fostering meaningful change involves understanding your story within its broader context, taking into account your early life history, family history, and cultural background. I therefore often draw on narrative therapy principles to explore the stories we tell about ourselves, our past, and our future. In addition to this, I also incorporate CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and third-wave CBT principles into my practice, with the overall aim of creating a warm and sensitive space where you feel heard and understood.
