Dr Woolley

I am a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the HCPC. Alongside my independent practice, I have worked in the NHS in both mental health and physical health settings supporting people dealing with anxiety, low mood or depression, traumatic experiences, and a range of physical health diagnoses.

Most of us encounter moments in our lives in which we need some support – perhaps you’ve experienced a significant change, a loss, or maybe you’ve realised that you’ve been feeling distressed or stuck for some time now. Therapy can help you to understand these feelings and find ways to move forwards.

I have particular experience in supporting people living with long term health conditions, including adjusting to diagnosis, long term management, and people facing life limiting conditions. My experience also extends to supporting people with loved ones who have become unwell. Managing a chronic health condition can be exhausting, overwhelming and demoralising. I aim to support people to live meaningful and enjoyable lives alongside maintaining their physical health and wellbeing.

Every person’s situation is unique, and therefore I believe in offering an integrative, individualised approach to therapy. I draw on principles and techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I understand the importance of a confidential and reliable space to discuss your situation, and the value of collaborative working to see the best results.
